Ok I dont do this very often - but here it goes..... Rant incoming..... Prepare the Soap Box! No, dont worry this is not a rant trying to convert anyone. Growing up and spending my life as a Christian man I have been taught to turn the other cheek. I have been taught that my God loves all, and that he made us in his amazing image. This past weekend was Pride here in Atlanta (LGBT) and I am very happy to say that I got to be in the parade alongside my brothers and sisters and my chosen family. Once again Panther L/L decided to use our float to kick off our advertisement of our upcoming haunted house that we will be doing on Halloween night. As we rounded the corner of Peachtree and 10th St I was very proud to see that the Pansy crew had blocked out the right wing protestors signs with their big giant pansy signs. Then yesterday I got sent a link from a friend of mine. The link is a YouTube video put out by these same nut ball protesters spewing hatred at the different groups that marched by. The video comes to an end with a shot of our float (and me in the middle) and a caption that says something about the fact that the last group pictured are the men into S&M and they are child molesters. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?????? Because I am a gay man in a very loving relationship that is probably 100X more loving than any relationship this fool has ever known - that makes me a child molester? I dont know what God you serve, but it is clearly not my God. My God loves us all for who we are and teaches us not to hate anyone for who they are. One day these people will be standing at the gates of judgement, and it will be time to answer for all of the hurt that they have caused.
