So heres a consumer story. I ordered a roll off container from Nauset Disposal two weeks ago and asked that it be removed before 11/7 when the shipper was coming to pick up my stuff. The charge was for a two week rental and I didnt mind paying even though I would have it for less than two weeks. No one came to pick it up and I called them. The young woman told me that I had called to say that I wanted it until November 11th. When I told her that I had not called and that the deal was that it be gone by November 7th, she insisted that I had called, hinting that I was lying. It was not picked up; I was told that it would be picked up this morning. Fortunately, the shipper was able squeeze the truck in for the pick up. The dumpster is still here and Nauset just called me to tell me that they wont pick it up until tomorrow and (wait for it) I would not be charged for the extra day rental. She said this twice as if I was being given a gift. Huh? Lesson: when dealing with Nauset Disposal, get a written agreement. I couldnt tag them, but if you know these folks, let them know they can do better than treating customers as if they are lying and not owning up to their mistake.
