Ok, I guess my not so nice cartoon joke this morning didnt sit - TopicsExpress

Ok, I guess my not so nice cartoon joke this morning didnt sit well with some, but we dont all have to share the same humor. However, I admittedly can be as bawdy and crude in my sense of humor (those of you who know me well, know this) just as much as I can be a polite and chivalrous gentleman. No, Chivalry isnt completely dead, and I believe in it, as many of the strong women in and throughout my life taught me that to be gentleman is to show kindness, sincerity, interest, and humility, and cast off any hubris, or in other words, do not possess so much pride and self- confidence that one might see you as an asshole. So, this brings me back to bearing a healthy sense of humor, another virtue of sorts that aforementioned, wonderful women also taught me. Most notably comes to mind are my beautiful Grandma Shirley, and her sisters, my great Aunties, Lorraine and Peggy. These three ladies were some of the classiest, musically talented, beautiful, strong, even-handed, egalitarian women of their time and of equal importance, they were hilarious, funny, and comical with the same crude, zany, jocular sense of humor I have- and Im guessing they would have found my posted comic just as funny! So, obviously, Im not here to preach or dole out lessons on morality, but I do strive to find balance in all areas of life. Its work, it takes effort, its progressive, and it continues to be my never-ending, perpetuating resolution each new year. My apologies to those who took offense. By the way, I think thats hilarious as well! I hope each and every one of you has a blessed, safe, happy, and hilarious New Years Eve! May 2015 be a little better for those who are doing ok, and a lot better for those of us who need some miracles! God Bless each and every one of you!
