Ok I think the barf fest is over, thank God.....So thankful for my dear husband who took care of me all day long and to Jack R Merchant helping him get everything done. They both went to town, retrieved my prescription, picked up KFC mashed potatoes for me and Mt. Dew. Whew. Its pretty bad when you barf up a drink of water, boy was I a happy camper to be able to hold that phenergan down long enough for it to work and eat a little bit! Foot in severe pain, not puking my guts up to take my mind off of it has caused it to return in force. Debating on whether or not to let it hurt or try the pain meds again. Might be ok now that I have something on my tummy but very leery at this point. The swelling is worse and it is the prettiest shade of purple, black and red Ive ever seen, well at least since I fell over a bar stool......twice....a few years ago. Now that bruise was a doozie! Oh and with that little reminder, big shout out to Heath Grider for the gnarly picture of the compound broken toe picture with a note attached saying he was sorry I hurt my toe. That was a big pick me up and among my Things that I am thankful for Today list, that my toe is still attached. Thanks pal. Just made executive decision, going to continue with ice packs and hold off as long as I can on pain meds. If I werent so claustrophobic, Tammy Price the bubble wrap suggestion would be on the table for further consideration. Its true folks, I am a walking or rather limping accident waiting to happen. I keep telling myself that surely I cant be the only person out there that has the ability to self inflict serious injury while performing simple tasks as often as I seem to. Thaddeus Forsythe is right up there in the same category with me though, so I dont feel TOTALLY humiliated. With all that being said, ice pack awaits me and Rhea is in perfect position in her spot on the bed. Will not be fighting her for space tonight though, she is going to be the elevated foot rest I need. Now see, thats a good dog right there, helping out any way she can. Have a wonderful night all and a Blessed tomorrow!
