Ok LISTEN... last night, this weekend in fact, reminded me of where I came from, and how I was formed by you wonderful people I went to high school with... Im not posting this on my main page, this is just for us. You guys keep thanking me Mark Drobney and Sam Thomas for putting together the reunion, but yall have to understand, YOU put together the reunion. THERE IS NO REUNION IF YOU DONT REUNITE! And so all of you that made your way there, YOU deserve credit and thank yous! Sure, Mark put in the ballbusting work and hours and does deserve every credit because he had to about BEG me to help because I knew what a heavy bag it would be getting you knuckleheads to respond and commit and all with ZERO money in the coffers to begin with! And I will admit that I deserve some credit because I did get behind it and I spend a great deal of my personal money to get some of what we needed because I remember the good times with all of you, not just in parties but in school in class, in clubs, and in personal friendships. And Sam deserves his credit because he just had a heart attack recently. He should not have been out in that sun doing that stuff, and he spent a good deal of personal money to do that tailgate... And lets not forget Jeanine Jeannine Thomas having to put up with Sam while he did all this! I saw you too Jeannine walking through making everyone feel comfortable xoxox. The real credit is in everyone that made it there. what kind of reunion are we talking about if no one showed up? Each and everyone of you made the night memorable! I loved seeing and hearing from people that had been professed quiet-people in school! Yall arent quiet anymore! LOL! I gotta tell you, this was THE BEST REUNION GATHERING! It may not have been the best of venues or best food ever so be careful when it comes time to criticize about those things by the way. know that it was very hard to come up with something with no money to start and very little initial response when it came to helping, let along financing. But the fact that we had questionable digs and grub made it plain to see that it is really the camaraderie that is at the heart of a good reunion! Were not the best parties you remember in school just everyone getting together at someones place with a case ot a twelvepack and having a ball together? I LOVED this weekend, LOVE all of you, Love you back for your thanksyous, and hope that you all get me friended on here and keep in touch! Furthermore, I adore the fact that several of you said to me that you definitely want to help next time, and I personally promise that next time will be even bigger and better! I have some initial ideas for how we can all be more comfortable and have things flow easily and have a better venue. I want to try to have a yearly fundraiser to help fund things better when the time comes. And we will not let Mark have to do so much of the heavy lifting next time. I will mention our fallen in a separate post. Broke my heart to see those memorials. Everyone please keep safe and healthy for 5 years at least. lets keep down the amount of candles we will have to lite next time.
