Ok. Mike is in a bad mood. Move on if you cant handle that. 12 people were murdered today because the rest of us are stupid and cowardly. Were stupid because we dont bother to educate ourselves on the problem. We pretend that radical Salafism is a problem that exists over there somewhere. Were stupid because we think that the problem will stay over there. Our idiotic isolationist attitudes, our self absorption, our addiction to comfort (both physical and emotional), have lulled us into believing that we have the option not to fight. We are cowards because we were fighting the very people who attacked that news paper, and we quit. The orders for this attack came directly from Inspire. For those who dont know, that is the Al Qaeda news letter. Remember them? Wait, but arent they obsolete now? No, as a matter of fact they are not. We fought them, and came within eyeball range of beating them...and then America got bored and decided we didnt want to do it anymore. They regrouped, claimed victory, gave birth to a child called ISIS, and are probably stronger than ever. We emboldened them. We taught them that western people are weak willed, and easily manipulated by fear. We taught them that the way to make us bend to their will is by terrifying us. People will be up and arms for a week or so about what a horrible violation of the sanctity of free speech this is, and then they will go back to not actually having the stones to do anything about it. WAKE UP! We are at war. We have been for more than a decade. You dont win a war with hash tags. No matter how many times you tag I am Charlie...youre not. Charlie is dead. He was murdered by people who hate speech, who hate liberty, who hate women, who believe rape is ok so long as it is the rape of a slave, who believe cultures can be eradicated if they pray to the wrong God.
