Ok, all you backyard kitchen table garage physicists devoid of any education in physics, let me set the record straight here. Theres nonsense circulating in the popular dumbbell media and know-nothing Internet circles that Stephen Hawking has said there are no black holes. Well, he did not say that, what he said is that the event horizon concept of black holes creates a paradox that challenges both quantum physics and Einsteins General Relativity theory, and the only way to resolve this paradox is to scrap the idea of the event horizon and re-envision an apparent horizon. Because Hawkings latest contribution to theoretical and cosmological physics comes with no mathematics, its only conjectural at this time, and it has stirred great debate and questing within the physics community. I could get into the Relativity and quantum discussion, but Id lose 98% of you so suffice it to say nobody yet has an answer and only time will tell. Right now nobody understands the paradox.
