Ok apparently Im supposed to list 6 random facts most people dont know about me. Fun, fun. Lol 1. I went to college on a trombone scholarship straight out of high school; I had auditioned at a second college on trombone and vocals and had received scholarship, but at Belmont I felt too intimidated to audition on voice. 2. I have one eye that is half brown and half blue, split straight down the middle. A regular freak of nature (haha jk its totally cool). Most asked question about it is if I can see out of it ok. Lol yes, yes I can. 3. My first job was as a caricature artist during summers from the age of 15 - 19 at Opryland USA in Nashville, TN 4. I was a closet thumb-sucker until I was 12. Yikes. Lol 5. When I was 9, my big sisters friend probably saved my life - my granny had some weird machine with this huge belt on it that you turned on and it was supposed to shake the fat off you (I am not making this up). Us three girls were taking turns playing with it and during my turn I leaned in too close and my right pigtail got caught in the mechanism and began to wrap my hair around it. The girl turned the machine off just in time. One more loop and it would have ripped the whole right side of my hair out if my scalp. No joke. Crazy. 6. My senior year in high school I marched base drum because my band director all thru school was like a dad to me; but my senior year he transferred to a different school. I was so upset I opted out of band camp and worked instead at Opryland. Schools starts and the band director asks me if Im gonna march, I ask him if I can audition for 1st chair; he says no because I didnt go to band camp. So I refused to March because I knew I would be 1st chair. A couple of weeks into the school year, we had a base drum line of only 4; 2 dropped out the same week. The band director asked me if Id play base drum and I said yes, and played both parts of the 2 that dropped out! It was so much fun!! Loved it!
