Ok...because I have been treating a slew of pregnant women in my practice these days, Ive been confronted with more reasons to combine essential oils with my Acu-care for them. Todays turn of events (no pun intended) was to help the mamma-to-be turn her little nugget so in 2 weeks when the due date comes, the baby is in the right position. I am certain of my Acu-points for turning babies and have a good track record in the past 10 years but nothing compares to what I witnessed today when I combined Acu with EOs. Ive always known that Clary Sage eo helps with contractions of the uterus (for labor induction and period cramps) so this wasnt an oil I pulled out today since its a little too early for inducing. I did a little research and found that a combination of Peppermint and Myrrh helps to nudge the positioning of the fetus. So be it. I put 1 drop of Peppermint and 1 drop of Myrrh in my hands and gently massaged it into her belly. In my experience, babies in utero tend to have dance parties when their mammas are having Acupuncture. Well this was a completely different dance party. This baby completely SHIFTED. I mean it was dancing, stretching and rolling and stretching. Both mama and I felt and watched the movement. We looked on with eyes wide and bottom jaw dropped. And then it had the hiccups! We both laughed....We felt the baby hiccup! SO AMAZING! Whoa. Another day in the life of the oils....#theresanoilforthat
