Ok, by now Im sure we all know about the problems occurring on the Hill. Recently, there has been an increase in violence, and block parties impeding traffic, etc. Today, we were doing a survey on a lot on Howard st. We were looking for corners around the block. At the intersection of Lenora and 20th Ave, was a gathering of 10-12 blacks (both male and female). They ranged in age from upper teens to mid 20s. They began hassling us and talking s_ _t to us. I ignored them but kept aware of the situation. My employee (recently returned from Afghanistan) was visibly agitated. He had to go back down there to give me a shot on a corner. They (the blacks) surrounded him asking what we were doing, were we cops etc. We got the shot before the situation escalated, and moved on about our business. Any of you that know me, know I carry, and am quite prepared to defend myself. Thank God, I have some modicum of restraint. Soooo, here it comes... The PD KNOWS our town is having problems with that area. We were in that area 6 hours, and not once did we see a unit patrolling! Seems that the PD is concentrated around Main street and Washington street, and seem to be more concerned with writing seatbelt tickets, than with dispersing these groups congregating in the middle of the streets! The problems cant be alleviated if you avoid them!!
