Ok everyone I need your help and your prayers. First please pray for my kitty. Her name is Tonka and she is Tonka tuff! 2nd Why do irresponsible people have more rights than a homeowner and their pets? Around 6 pm last night 3 dogs, a lab/shepherd mix, a rott and a pit, came into our yard and tried to rip our cat to shreds. Ronnie ran out and all 3 were on top of her. He yelled and ran out to help her where as the pit grabbed her and shook her like a rag doll and then tried to run off with her in his mouth. Ronnie ran after the dog and got it to let Tonka loose and the pit jumps on him drags his nails down his arms and Ronnie is a bleeder from heart meds so that wasnt good. Thankfully the dog did not do more damage to Ronnie as I was just getting out of the shower while all this was happening and didnt know. 911 was called and it took quite a while for the Sheriffs Department to arrive. I was able to get the cat box, get Tonka, get to the vet and the vet see her before the ambulance arrived then the Sheriffs Deputy showed up, which was about 30 minutes later. God forbid it wasnt a child. The dogs came back while all this was going on and Animal Control was called. I came back from the vets already checked half the neighborhood looking for the dogs and their owners to find out if the dogs were up to date on their shots. Came home, talked to the cops, checked on Ronnie and went looking again. As I was leaving I found the dogs in the neighbors yard and we were able to lock them in. Again the police called Animal Control. I left again looking for the owners and I found them! The owner is out of town so his son follows me over and guess what? ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS PAY THE FINE AND SHOW PROOF OF SHOTS AND THEY CAN TAKE THE DOGS HOME!!!! Meanwhile my cat is laying at the vets with her ribs separated waiting to come out of shock so that she can have x-rays to see the extent of her internal damage. My other cat is traumatized and wont go out and she is an outdoor cat. The stray kitten that showed up a few weeks ago that we have been feeding and trying to friend is missing and these damn people only have to pay a fine and show proof of shots! We have pressed charges but according to lawyers unless the dog bites a person and does a lot of damage they wont take the case. This is total BULLSHIT!!!
