Ok everyone, serious topic, gather all the black folk. This status will be referring towards the use of the n word. Its a well known unspoken law amongst our society that black people can call others nigga as a synonym for friend, but only black people. If someone of a different ethnicity (with a few exceptions), they are labeled a racist. The only legitimate way someone would be a racist with the use of the word is if they were trying to insult or dehumanize someone (not just black people, it isnt a exclusive insult to blacks anymore, slavery is over with) by saying You are a nigger, but in which case that would happen, they are saying You are a stupid and ignorant person who does not and will not accept education. The term nigger, while back in the 1800s was a word used to describe a slave (who were most of the time black) because slave owners refused to learn their names, which made the human labor a lot easier since they didnt see niggers as human. But thats the past. Now, black people have cast an exclusive use policy on the word nigga. We all know what it means when I black guy says you my nigga, it means you are his friend. So with that in mind that nigga is slang for friend, why cant others use it? I get that it derives from the 1800s during the slavery days, but really, it isnt racist. To be completely honest, the black guy labeling the white guy a racist for saying nigga, is actually the racist himself, since he has given that word that type of power. Unless you are being called a nigger in an insulting way, it isnt racist nor rude. Side note: black people are not the only ones that could be called a nigger, as Ive stated before, it isnt an exclusive insult to any one group of people, it means ignorant. P.S., Im not worried about using the word, if I want to call someone my nigga, I damn well will. Im just throwing this up for discussion because I want to see others opinions on it.
