Ok family! This a role call! I am looking for dedicated scale RC builders, drivers, and adventurers! I am going to attempt to expand on the ESP concept.. Many people around the world have rcs and want to show them off! Most of us would rather r/c with a friend than alone and all of us hate drama. Well I have noticed an increasing trend of photo builds so to speak. People that build for the sake of online appearance instead of building what they really like. Now im not hating. I am happy to have anyone join the community. However I think we as a community have misled the newcomers into buying unnecessary parts, false hopes of performance and then dont bother to help with trade secrets or what we may see as common sense. When I worked as a sales rep at a local hobby shop I was able to sale close to $250,000 worth of inventory in less than a year. J was able to do that by being honest with the customers and by finding a real motivation to sale. My motivation was simple. I wanted people to have a good experience with their r/c and I felt I could give them that. It would just take a little more effort. So I bought a slash and an scx10 and I built the shit out of them on my small hobby shop budget using knowledge from my builds as a youngster and random goodies found around the shop. When I was done I had a 75mph scaled out bomb proof 2wd slash and my infamous yellow rust bucket of a Jeep! I brought them to work with me everyday and propped them up on the counter for people to see, touch & even play with. I gave transparent, expert advice and always assumed they were on my budget or less. That allowed me to humbly help people and to back up what I said with my own builds (investments) that I had readily available just for that reason. 90% of the time not only did I make the sale but I gained a friend to r/c with and usually a new subscriber! Some of those people are considered my closest friends now and have been on my show many times! My point is this is one hell of an awesome thing that has been built here and I would gate to see that wasted on just one person. I want to continue to help the world to have a good experience with their r/cs! I want to continue to spread that love! So I am organizing a local r/c club and I want to see how many of my friends around the world would be willing to help me come up with a NEW standard for FUN in r/c clubs? We start with a simple concept and stick to it. Not a rule book but a blueprint to guaranteed fun. Everyone I know has witnessed a grown man throw or kick an rc car out of anger or frustration. That is not a good look. I have so much footage of people losing their cool at comps that I could do a full video of just that if I wanted to lol! It actually keeps me up at night, trying to figure out an answer to this problem. Well I believe the answer is simple. We lead by example. I am willing to promote individual rc groups and clubs around the world that are willing to join me in this movement to make rc fun again! I will utilize all the resources I can to make this happen if people are willing to join me in the effort. Its a simple win win in my book. You follow the (yet to be written) ESP guidelines. I give you random shout outs via instagram, fb, twitter & YouTube. As you gain in popularity you do what I do, show others the guidelines to rc fun and get them started in the movement! In the end ESP grows, your club/group/channel grows, & the community grows and it is all done by showing others how we have fun with our r/cs! Now this is obviously just a though bit it is one I have been having for a long time and I would love to see who would be down and who thinks Im crazier than bat shit lol?!
