Ok folks! I was just on the phone with Nat Grid after I noticed our electric bill increased substantially yet our usage went down. The gentleman on the phone explained that due to the exceptionally cold winter they are being charged more by the big power companies and passing the cost to us (the little guy). He then explained that next month the cost per kilowatt hour is going to nearly double again. (people are going to freak when they open next months bill). He then went on to explain that they struck a deal to allow some of these higher costs to get deferred to the summer months when delivery costs are cheaper. Either way its going to hurt. Just another plus to north east living.😁👍
