Ok folks we have a lot of people getting mad because we can not take their animals. We are a small rescue group who only pulls from shelters. We pull from shelters to save lives. Im sorry you dont understand that we are full or that we only pull from shelters. The shelter dogs have only days to be saved so we work as hard and diligently as possible to save as many as we can. Our first priority is to local shelters dealing with Breed Specific Legislation. They are over capacity and have but one choice to end their life. Please understand we are not financially able nor do we have enough committed fosters to take on more animals. We are truly sorry we cant save every pit. Please refrain for blaming us or cursing us. We like you have families homes and jobs. This is a volunteer based rescue. We do not receive any federal state or county money. We do this out of our pocket. We do this out of love. Our adoption fee doesnt even cover the cost of shots, spay/neuter HW test and microchipping. Not to mention flea/tick meds HW preventative or food. So next time you decide to bash us for not taking your dog. Please dont. We are doing our level best. We have saved and re homed 107 pits in our first year. Not too shabby for a group of 8 volunteers who work full time jobs care for families and educate the public to the wonders of pit bulls. If you want to volunteer or donate we could always use the help. We dont beg like most rescues do. We do what we can with what we have. You can donate at [email protected] or through our vet Lyon County Animal Hospital. We always have a large bill there. You can purchase T-shirts or bumper stickers. You can attend one of our fund raisers and volunteer. There are so many ways you can help. If your local you can foster. Bake goods to sell. The list goes on and on. Our point is please help us so we can save more lives. Bashing us because we can not take your dog only hurts other dogs. We need the communities love and support. Be the change you want to see. Animal advocacy is a positive step forward. There is no I in rescue but there is an us. Join us and lets make a difference in animals lives. Much love the unchained love gang.
