Ok friends, i need your help. I have been in severe pain for 2 weeks straight. I have lower back pain, which is radiating down my left leg, making my leg nearly useless, often unable to bear weight. Every movement is unbearable. My calf is swollen and tender, as is my knee. The er doctor prescribed prednisone which has run out with no relief. I turned to my primary care dr who has promptly informed me that she will not give me pain meds, and proceeded to blow me off. I am currently taking 6000mg of ibuprofen and 40 mg of flexeril a day with no relief. I am NOT seeking pain meds, but I need to find a physician that will at least take the effort to attempt to find out exactly why I am in so much pain, and some way to reduce it. I need to find someone who can see me soon, not a month from now. I have United Healthcare insurance. If anyone has any suggestions or referrals, I would very much appreciate it. I dont know how much longer i can handle this.
