Ok got the bejeesus scared out of me. As I sat up here reading posts, all of a sudden I heard one of the kids screaming bloody murder. It was Ember. Wow, can she scream! She had been playing with Coal and my husband said it seemed like she had twisted her leg. It took both of us holding her and kissing her, with lots of petting, before she calmed down. She let me check her leg. I stretched it and moved it about. Seems nothing is broken, and not the CCL. Just a soft tissue injury I think. She is limping on her back left leg but she is weight bearing which is a good sign. I tell ya, when huskies get and owie, they sure do put up a fuss. I thought we were headed to the vet for sure. Poor Coal , he was running around in circles and crying for Ember. Both got a cookie and some lovings and all seems to be ok. Going to have to keep them nice and quiet tonight and let Ember rest her leg. We certainly dont want to make it worse. Plans for the dog park are off tomorrow. Just in case....better to be safe than sorry. Poor baby.....poor Mama, my heart is still racing.
