Ok, here is me being an ass. To all the ice bucket participants that feel like they are making a difference by giving themselves a few SECONDS of discomfort by dumping a bucket of ice water on themselves outside in a hot summers day, stop. Yes, you are creating awareness but ultimately you are doing nothing for the cause. How about donating few bucks towards the cause and dump a nice refreshing bucket of ice water on your head afterwards. Dont pretend to care. Care and help. I havent been asked to do the bucket challenge but I will be donating money tomorrow morning. If need be, you can dump a bucket of water on me later. For now, Ill just ACTUALLY help the cause. I give my friends 24 hrs to do so as well. $5 to $20 towards research is way better than a bucket of ice water on someones head to make them think they did something. Dumping a bucket of ice water on your head is the equivalent of planking on a sofa, no one is really impressed. Ok, Im getting off my soapbox.
