Ok, here is the latest. I thought Id be able to brew last week, but alas we had some glycol line leaks (water test, no glycol) so I believe we now have those fixed. Will be testing today or tomorrow. Ive cleaned the mash tun, boil kettle, and all the process pipe in between, including the heat exchanger. Ive also completed an initial cleaning of a fermenter just to test my now working CIP pump. This week I will do an acid passivation wash on the brewhouse and a fermenter then do a sanitizing cycle on said fermenter. Then we fill the glycol chiller with a 35% glycol to water mixture. This will be accomplished by pumping it up through a water hose into the glycol pipes (or carry 5000 buckets of glycol up to the roof). We know it works with water, so shouldnt be an issue. Then.....we brew. If it doesnt happen this week, something has gone very wrong. Beer will be my pale ale. Very simple recipe. Should be interesting.
