Ok i dont do this often but time for a rant. This morning North Dade Fire & Rescue had a major commercial structure fire, along with other departments from Dade County. Here is my rant i read a comment from someone that really tick me off and we here it all the time. Ok the comment was about how sad it was that it took so long for the Fire Department to get to the seen. We are VOLUNTEER Firefighters this means we are not at the station when a call comes in we have to drop whatever we are doing to respond when the citizen of Dade need help and we do this at the cost of time with our families, and for free. do not take what i am saying wrong i love what i do with the fire services and will do it for free till i cant go any more. But for people to make a statement like this really crawls me, It is Sunday morning people are getting ready for church and a alarm comes out the members of North Dade Fire and the others responded without hesitation. if YOU THINK YOU CAN DO WHAT WE DO ANT BETTER THAN US I ASK YOU TO COME ON WE WILL GLADLY LET YOU JOIN IN. Those of you that know me know that i usually tell it like it is regardless to your feelings. I have held back here and chose my words.
