Ok, it is soapbox time. I took Claude to the eye Dr. today, and when we were on our way home there was a little black kitten running in the street. Poor kitty. I pulled over, and we tried to catch the kitty, but it was so scared that it ran back into the street, over in front of Pharos-Tribune, (our newspaper office.) My husband took off his shirt, and tried to get close enough to the kitty, to put his shirt over it, so it would calm down, and we could remove it from the dangerous situation. I called 911 to see if we could get some help after the kitten ran up into the engine compartment of a small SUV parked in front of the paper office. The officer went into the paper office to see who the Suv belonged to, and it did belong to one of the employees. She came out opened the hood for him. But the kitty was under the air breather. The employee of the newspaper refused to let the officer remove it to save that poor scared kitten. I am very upset. A kitten loses its life because of a person that has no good morals, or respect for a life.
