Ok meeting took a long time :( Because entrance to ramp the impression of a wall of bollards needs to be maintained to give a visual clue that youre hitting a not very nice junction. So the compromise solution is a 5 bollard setup with a 1.2m gap between bollards in a row and a 1.2m gap between rows. Note the 3m dwell space between the bollards and the footpath. Parks asked for bollards at the bottom of the ramp. After much discussion as to what they actually do and how they negatively affect turning circles, and to still satisfy Parks, it was agreed that one bollard in the centre of the path will be kept still maintaining at least a 1.2m gap on either side. Of note 1.2m gap was discussed as being a standard to which all bollard designs will be held to account. Retroactive application of standard may take some time. No fence possible on footpath opposite entrance due to width of path being too small. Serious discussion for a ramped access to footpath to be had as there was a recognition that having a cyclist ride along then get off bike in middle of road and lift bike onto path was nonsensical and potentially dangerous. Engineer made some extremely valid points about presenting a wall of bollards as you ride up the ramp to indicate you are coming to a dangerous junction.
