Ok now! Barrage of emotions and thoughts! Thinking of my Mom on what would be her 100th, helped along with the fun pictures and memories her grandchildren are posting. also thinking about my father who died on this day 50 years ago. on her 50th. . and am in Birmingham as they commemorate the 50th of many civil rights events. Today attended service at the 16th Street Baptist church, the church bombed and 4 girls died (and later that day) 2 boys killed in the aftermath, Sept. 15, 1963. Civil Rights Institute this afternoon, and off to UU Birmingham church for supper and listening to their "stories" of the times. Is that enough for one day?? Will post some pics soon.
