Ok, ok. Commodore Beauregard Peter Yankowski, Im doing research for a game (you know how I do) and I need some advice: Im theory-crafting a assault rifle built on a SuperV or MDR lower (call me a fanboy), suppressed, and chambered for .50 Beowulf HP. The question - other than is that unfeasible for some reason Ive overlooked - is this: Is the Beowulf a good choice for urban conflict and cqb? Its operational range is 200m, so seems legit, and hollow points cause less collateral. The next question, is do you think that has enough stopping power to put down the largest of game? Elephant/Moose/Rhino/Hippo and other super-tough critters. Its a urban-fantasy game, so my opponents could be trolls, vampires, were-creatures and other things with pesky natural armor/regeneration. The gun needs to cause heinous wounds and pack tremendous stopping power, but not kill grandma three houses over. Thats what the new light .50 (XM500) is for :P You guys have a better high cal solution for the assault rifle? I defy you to come up with a better heavy sniper carbine than the xm too. Thanks in advance! Jeffrey Paris :D
