Ok, so I am going on a bit of a rant. I have done a TREMENDOUS amount of research on this. If you are a business owner or work for a business in Florida, PLEASE be aware that you are NOT allowed to charge surcharges for a credit card purchase - it is ILLEGAL and a misdemeanor (FS 501.0117)! If you decide that you want to try the convenience fee option, please be aware that it must be charged to EVERYONE, including cash customers, and it CANNOT be a percentage, it must be a FLAT/FIXED amount. I am getting tired of arguing with people about this! Rant over... you may return to your previously scheduled programming.
