Ok so I was flipping through the channels trying to find something to watch when something just happened to distract me for a moment and the tv was stopped on the Christian channels and Joel Olsteen was saying that sometimes we put God in a box on a shelf, the closet or a storage shed unit til we need something out of it then we tend to get it out and ask God to bless us with whatever it is we were asking for, then he preceded to say that God is not to be played with like a toy or a tool we use when we need to fix things for God already knows what our needs are, but he supplies them when his timing is right or when he thinks we are fully ready to except the responsibilities that go along with them, this is kinda funny that I stopped on this channel because our sermon this morning at church was so similar to that of which me. Olsteen spoke of and this afternoon I was discussing something similar with a good friend,and as I continued to watch the rest of the program it made me realize how we all face problems each day and some days we just dont seem to have the time to deal with them so we put them aside but then when they come creeping back we try and make excuses or we want to blame others for our misfortunes in life. God expects us to always seek out his help and sometimes he sends earthly angels to do just that but when we ignore or just toss these problems aside things keep piling up til we explode like a bomb, I thank God each day for his wisdom and I have learned that when we put our problems on a shelf or store them away they just accumulate dust or deteriorate but are still there looking us right back in the face the same way they were before we decided to ignore them.
