Ok, so enough of the football rants. I wonder how far down the IQ scale this country is willing to go before we start heading to heck in a hand basket. Really, a trek down that road of being educated and informed, you wonder the same things I do...mainly how does this country actually function with representatives and electorate who refuse to consider facts, science, and just plain common sense. My life has always been about service to others...relieving suffering, treating and preventing disease, and providing and supporting aid to the needy. The irony in life is that those in the most need, the poorest, and least educated consistently vote for policies (through their representatives) that would take away everything important in their lives from a financial standpoint: aid, tax relief, jobs, unemployment, etc. I mean, doesnt it hurt to keep punching yourself in the gut each election? I live in a state (Kansas) that is so poor, they cant even pay attention. The governor is all about the rich, and the poor vote him in, and then he dumps on the poor over, and over, and over again. Tell me whats wrong. Why are we going this direction? Is this really what Kansans and American want? I wonder sometimes.
