Ok so i wrote this poem. Just to be clear...it is not about anyone specific or geared towards anyone. So please no wrong ideas or judgement. :) To gaze upon your smile is a temptation almost too great to bear, To look into your eyes is playing with fire. The passion in your soul draws me in, Like a moth to a flame, Mesmerized; closer and closer Too close. I dont want to get burned. Does he not realise the cost to my heart? In pulling away; whether frightened or detatched The purest of love in my heart The heat of pure passion in my soul, Could be his alone, With only his unconditional love We click Is that enough? I cannot promise to be what im not But the life we could have Would be exciting and hot And loving and kind And exciting and fun, And this could be yours If you are the one. Please dont play games, Dont capture my heart For if you dont want this then Now we must part I will take a chance on you If but for the possibility I will put my faith in you Please dont leave my soul to burn To love and to cherish is what i would do To greet each new day growing closer to you I do not play games I dont cheat or lie I would faithfully be yours Until the day that i die Romance is cute In movies and themes But the prince on a horse is not in my dreams I want a man who is honest and real Who appreciates my ability to deeply think and to feel To see past my outside To see what is inside, Regardless of my looks and size I want to be loved for the rest of my life Or if you feel nothing at all you must go I would rather hurt quickly Than to drag it out slow Just be forewarned i am one of a kind If you let me go I will leave you behind I wont cry or beg Or plead or stalk... Ill hold my head high and away i will walk.
