Ok, so many have asked how the process is done. Well heres the machine Kasee is hooked up to. I promised her no pics of her during this phase. The blood is pumped from Kasee into the machine. The stem cells are separated by the machine and the blood is returned to Kasee. She has done fairly well through this process. She is only allowed to be hooked up for five hours each time. The stem cells are then taken to the lab and counted. The amount of cells needed for transplant is determined by Kenneths body weight. After the cells are counted we will find out if enough were collected today or if Kasee will go through the process again in the morning. PLEASE pray that we have an over abundance of cells from this collection!!! They have just taken the cells to count and Kasee is resting! She is such a trooper. Kenneth did well with the radiation treatments...NO Ill side affects! Thank you Lord! He is also resting! Thank you all for praying for my baby girl and my superman today! Whew...what a day!
