Ok, so originally my plan was to just stop selling digital beading tutorials through my Etsy store at all and turn them all into paper copies or put them on CD. Then there appeared to be a way round it if we emailed the files manually rather than it being automatic download, but that is only confirmed as workable by HMRC not the rest of the EU. After that I thought about setting up a private group on FB for purchasers of my tutorials but that also seemed to be open to interpretation. It has been mentioned again today so what I want to know is, if I have such a group set up but some or all of my customers dont actually participate in it, is it enough for me to be able to ignore the VAT problem? Or does it actually need to be used by my customers? And if some use it and others dont, would I then need to collect VAT for those that dont?
