Ok, so weve bragged on our first born a lot lately so I wanted to take a sec to brag on my 2nd. As I am incredibly proud of her recent accomplishments as well. The Lord has blessed this girl with a strong mind! Lydia has been completely homeschooled up until this 3rd grade year. No conventional classrooms besides being fully involved in childrens church programs. She was blessed to start 3rd grade with a wonderful teacher of the year who became very excited with Lyds quick adjustment and by the middle of the year, recommended her to be tested for the gifted program. Lydia is an amazing independent learner, which means we dont have to push her to excel. On the recent CRCTs, she well exceeded the standard on all but 1 subject. She was the only one in her class to recieve an accelerated reader award which consisted of a limo ride and out to eat lunch! (This is very special to me as I taught her how to read. ABeka curriculum btw.) Not only is she smart, she is humble. She worried she wouldnt score high enough to pass 3rd grade. :) She has also kept up with exceeding in the Awana program and was 1 of 2 students to get an award for extra work. She is out-going, respectful and always tries to do what is right. Mom and Dad are very proud!!
