Ok, so weve the ice bucket challenge happening all over the world - TopicsExpress

Ok, so weve the ice bucket challenge happening all over the world these past 2 weeks. Even I have taken part in this. All in the name of charity. It is believed that some people have not given anything to charity, but have done the Ice bucket challenge. I cant speak for them.. No idea why they have done that. Anyway, I have been criticised for doing the ice bucket challenge because it is a waste of water. I was told What if i told you that you dont need to do the ice bucket challenge to give money to charity. A fair point, I was also given religious text about not wasting water. I cant argue with it.. It can be seen as wasting water. People in other parts of the world who dont get a single drop of clean water for days, and when they do get water, its dirty. So this got me thinking. How much water do we use in our daily lives? Heres some information i found via Shaykh Google. Something for all of us to think about, especially the ones who were raving about water being wasted during the ice bucket challenge. These figures are just averages. So you probably will find different answers on line. Full bath - 80 litres Shower - 19 litres per minute. So a 10 minute shower = 190 litres Washing Machine - 20 litres per wash (All depends on what kind of washing machine we all have Toilet flush - 6 litres per flush Brushing teeth - 8 litres (If you leave tap running whilst brushing) Wudu (a washing ritual done by Muslims) - 20 litres Ice bucket challenge (depending on size of bucket) Mine was 4 litres. Have a good day everyone
