Ok, so with all the flooding in Colorado, people if you do not have renters insurance please, oh please understand you are at a personal fault…. As an Apartment Leasing Manager, you have just committed the 1st foul of the cover your butt job. 2nd when you come into the leasing office and start yelling, screaming and cursing at us the 2nd foul. You have just broken a large violation of your lease agreement and can get a no, no letter. 3rd in most cases the insures is only $10 and covers your personal belongings 4th when you do come in yelling the staff is going to look at you cause they understand that you committed the fouls yet some are going to ask do you have renters insurance. You are going to say no and there is going to be nothing they can do other than fix the properties items, they will not cover your losses. In your lease it states” We are not liable to any resident, guest or occupant for personal injury, property loss, from fire, smoke, rain, floods, environmental problems, water, leaks, hail, ice, wind, lighting, acts of GOD, War, plagues, terrorism ect. We are not being mean we are following the contract that was signed by you with the understanding if you do not have insurance our insurance will not cover yours. 5th If your insurance does find the communities at fault then, the insurance companies get to fight it out. SO PLEASE PAY THE $10 or more for coverage. We do understand cause most of the people trying to help you, their homes are also under water….
