Ok, this farming thing is exhausting. LOL! Went out this morning to visit the animals and decided to clean some of the poop out of the barn. Where shall I put this poop? Dug a latrine outside the barn to put the poop in. Deposited as much poop as I could remove from the hay into the latrine. Fed Donkey carrots (treat). Checked fence around the coral, everything secured. Went inside. 20 minutes later.... I looked outside ...one goat out. No ...2 goats out. Went back out to the corral. Let donkey out to graze. Found hole in the fence. Got goats back in. Fixed hole. Goats got out while fixing hole. Found space by the gate where they were getting out. Put stick in space, secured with wire. Inspected fence again. Goats you are going in the barn! Caught Billy and held him while I routed the others back into the barn. Reward - got to hold Billy and when I took him into the barn, I put him down and he hopped up on the chair in there and let me pet him for a very long time. The girls are still skiddish, but they were much closer to me than usual and one let me pet her briefly. This was DAY ONE.
