Ok, this has been some kind of day. Let me first say that you never know what people are going through...with instant communication like texts and microscope social media - you still dont know that people may be suffering in silence. What appears to be a happy person online - could really be a person who is covering up their pain. Yesterday, my daughter told me that a girl she knows from her high school committed suicide. She jumped off a bridge near I696 and 275. Her last tweet said: The worst and the last day. A few tweets before that she talked about working out and making what appears to be a joke about getting hired at a strip club and dropping out of college. She got a lot of retweets and laughs for that one. But - no one really knew that depth of her pain. Today, Wednesday, September 10 World Suicide Prevention Day 2014. WOW. She died on Tuesday. I pray for her family and friends and hope God comforts them with His Love. I pray for those who feel they have to hide behind a mask and put up a false image on social media to feel validated. Never do that. Get help. Life is real. There are real people who can help you. See National Suicide Prevention Lifeline 1-800-273-TALK (8255) The world was shocked when Robin Williams did it. Im sad that this young lady was someone who ran in the same circles as my daughter and we probably saw the family at footballs games at the High School or at the grocery store. So sad. You never know what people are going through....but take time to be kind. Love is the answer. Period.
