Ok, this is TMI for most people, but I have to share the email I sent to my doctor... Not trying to be dramatic or anything, but Ive had diahrrea for 5 days straight now. Im not sure if the metformin has decided it wants to become my boss,or what. The average frequencey of my runs to the bathroom (pun intended) are about once every 1.5 hours or so. Im drinking lots of water so Im staying hydrated. However, staying in the toilet for 10 minutes at a time while my lower intestine makes god awful noises that I suspect are an ancient summoning rite of a sumerian fire demom is causing me to get strange looks at work. People keep saying bless you and Im not even sneezing, I cant sneeze because Im too afraid of the outcome. Not to mention the toll on my underwear...I have spare underwear and pants at work, because I have to. Im almost afraid to be away from anyplace with a toilet. What is the difference in the metformin and the metformin extended release, and do you think it would make any change what so ever? Normally I just deal with it, but this is enough! (BTW i had to make two trips while typing this) This is the actual email I sent to him today...Ive yet to get a response time will tell.
