Ok this is a technical/mechanical issue I am experiencing with my boosted RSX. Looking for some advice and guidance, or even where to look because I am stumped. Basic background: PLM sidewinder, PTE6262 turbo, Hondata EBC...car makes boost but sounds like theres a restriction/struggle in doing so.. Sounds like fluttering under boost. What I did to test/diagnose: Boost leak tested the entire system with 20psi from turbo inlet and no boost leaks at all, held it for minutes afterwards. Vacuum is perfect in the system about -19-21 at idle. Checked all vac lines either way... Then to the engine. Did a compression and leak down test. 200+ across the board and engine is solid. Plugs not fouled out. So now Im thinking wastegate, turbo, or EBC Mac solenoid. This is where it gets weird: Disconnected mac solenoid and ran a v banded block off plate where my precision 46mm wg used to be. Plugged the front vac port on the turbo. Now Im ready to start up the car and drive it. If the car builds boost perfectly to 99psi(lol) we know the turbo is ok and either its the solenoid or the wastegate. So I turn on the car and car is idling just fine but when I put my foot on the brake pedal I notice the pedal is pulsating very quickly with slight pressure (something going on with the brake booster?)... Mind you the vac line off the intake manifold is routed to the brake booster with a check valve to it which is still hooked up and there is a T before the check valve on the intake manifold side for a vac line leading to my BOV. So I drive my car now and it builds a lot more boost but is still struggling like I mentioned before. Odd....I put the wg back on along with the vac lines on the turbo and the hondata ebc and pedal pulsation goes away and car still acts the same way!? Thank you if you read this post and hopefully someone has had this issue.
