Ok this is probably going to get me in trouble but I am sick of hearing how Lake Okeechobee in polluting the coastal waterways and how they are going to fix the problem. Many many people have told you that the problem is not Lake Okeechobee it is what they are doing to the lake. They tell you you cant fertilize your lawn anymore, they have closed a lot of the diary farms because the pollution must be coming from that and yet it keeps getting worse. All the while you keep spraying millions and millions of gallons of herbicides into the lake on a daily basis. You are killing the very vegetation that cleans the polluted water that comes down the river from Orlando and the water that the cane fields put back into the lake after they decided they dont need it. If you really want to fix the problem maybe you should look into some of these things !!!!!! If you see vegetation you will see clear clean water and fish, if you dont see vegetation the water is very dirty and no fish. It doesnt take a scientist to figure that out. Maybe they should come ask fisherman and airboaters, people who are on the lake everyday, people who see the destruction.
