Ok this one is for the karaoke lovers n I guess the hopeless romantic 2. It was 1 of my last projects @ school n I was gonna sing it but as I asked a friend to help me get mic levels for the guitar (since I cant be in the recording studio n the live room at the same time duh) and she didnt really know the song but she looked it up on youtube and as she was playing the guitar she also hummed n sung it quietly and her sister who happened to be there joined her with harmonies. I didnt say anything at 1st cause they would argue at times about who was off n what not n I thought it was hilarious. Plus I was getting levels anyways. I dont think they knew I could hear everything else besides the guitar, ha, but I loved their voice instantly. And I was like Ok.. Ima beg them to sing it. Shes actually really shy and she thinks she not good enough sometimes so Im not gonna blast her name. But Im thinking if some artists out there who cant sing can actually sell a song... she def can too! lol This is not even in her comfortable vocal range. Its very low n maybe not even her style as she was playing differently with the guitar.. but I couldnt resist n so I begged like I said lol. She actually recorded me while I was playing the guitar. I wasnt able to get her sister do to time constraints, nor was I able to get her to sing the whole song so I had to copy & paste what I had from the 1st verse n chorus and its even a little off at the end as far as timing n I shouldve used elastic audio to fix it but its nice over all I think. I spent crazy hrs in just a few days working on it and the day the project was do my files were totally missing from protools. Protools swallowed them apparently. I about cried n went into a deep depression for about 30 mins but my teacher told me next day just to turn in the mp3. I still got a 94. Woowho! lol =) Anyways.. Sorry 4 the rant.. I know u may not even understand half of what Im saying but I just get exited about what I do. Why not? Btw I played every instrument n recorded myself clapping like 4 times from different angles. So here it is. Theres really no effect in her voice besides very little compression and no vocal tuning or anything which is pretty much industry standard even if u have a great voice. This honestly doesnt do justice to how good they sound together. Shes no Whitney Houston but shes got a very sweet voice imo. And I dont care what decade ur from.. if u dont know this song LEARN IT DANG IT!! Ha.. The karaoke comes after the first one. Enjoy. =)
