Okay,- if you dont know me..well Im Max and im a music programmer. Im part of a Team where we live by the ideolegy Share Knowledge (SH).. So what does that mean ?! Well it means, we like to share our Rns files with others. The typical way producers handle their knowledge, is often too NOT give away their RNS files.. Well let me just start telling you that, that is just plain stupid. I know you by now may be looking a bit skeptic, but hold on and let me explain why. In order for people to learn our skills, its vital to encourage people to do more learning. How do we do that?! Well first of all dont think you the only GOD in music. Secondly, when throwing out your RNS files to the public people tend to be verey grateful for your sharing knowledge skills and thereby studying ones stuff.. Normally people get afraide if somebody is gonna steel your track and publish it in their name.. Well ofcourse theres some truth to that, but in the end... It will destruct that persons own ability to get a career in music sine most (professionals) already have copyrighted their music and besides it would just be plain dumb to go down that line.. So,- where does that leave us ?! Well in order to get more knowledge in our way of life (programming music) we have to share what we know.. How else are we gonna perfect ourself ?! Isnt it better to learn from eachother and thereby get ones friends up to your own level and again thereby getting much better sparing partners, i sure think so.. In many years from now, lets say 200 years.. People wont give a shit about a stupid wave file they can listen to. No i dont think so.. By then people would want to see how does awsome synth a made/ a break/ build up and so forth.. By then its not a matter of just listening, but insted HOW is it made.. Now,- some people in this business i have talked to mostly say Well Max, isnt what your doing, just giving away your business secret.. ?! -My answer is as always: When dealing with Sharing Knowledge, one must understand that, sharing for ex. a RNS file is not giving away any secret, at some point (mostly in a verey short time) other producers will try to imitate that sound you did... Insted of trying to make something different and NEW.. The key word here is NEW... And isnt that a bit crazy and dumb at some point, while the focus should be on creating new things with the skills that we got ?! I cam refraise it by asking: How much of the music that we hear today kinda sounds like the same old shit (sorry my language) -but hey... Dosent it all kind sounds like the same ?! They all use Vengance samples or the same plug ins (in our case REs).. You may not agree, but thats okay... I know im right, maybe not in this time frame... But in the future, i know im right.. So,- this is the Reason why i share ALL my stuff.. But rest asured, some people dont want their stuff public and ofcourse i totally respect that, so when i recive tracks from people because the want to share something back with me, i totally respect their wish about not giving away their rns tracks...
