The Whale Entanglement Team (W.E.T.) and Monterey Bay Marine Life Studies were in the bay yesterday for their second rescue attempt to free a humpback whale from an embedded entanglement in crab pot fishing gear. Through no fault of my own (okay, it was completely my fault), a very important, VERY expensive EPIRB (Emergency Position-Indicating Radio Beacon) was lost overboard. Im calling on you to donate any amount (even just $1!!) to W.E.T. and save me from some very severe guilt pangs.
