Okay-HOMOPHOBES, when will you realize that the gay community is only wanting to be treated equal as everyone else. We still have African Americans trying to get the same rights in many places and many different areas of life. Remember, the huge news of an African American playing pro baseball, not so long ago, the first quarterback in the NFL. The first coach, and now we have the first OPENLY gay football player. We have come far enough now that you do not hear any coach referred to black just a coach, no athlete is called a black athlete any more. The Gay community just wants that same right, we do not want to be a gay football player, preacher, policeman, fireman, construction worker, teacher or anything with the gay label. Once society learns to except everyone, we no longer will need labels like black, or gay, we will not have a need for a pride for awareness. Believe me, the gay community wishes that an openly gay football was not in the news, we wished it did not have to be news. We wish for the day when teenagers do not commit suicide for fear of coming out. When a son can just come home and introduce his boyfriend as his boyfriend without the need to come out or be labeled gay, then gay first will not be an issue. I never hear mention of a black football player. I would love for society to love and accept all and make it possible for that brave gay football player to be just, and football player! Ironically, if all the homophobes learned acceptance, suddenly they would have nothing to gripe at, because it would no longer make being gay an issue. Guess you are the reason you have to hear so much about us, so live with it or learn to accept all.
