Okay, I admit it.........Im partial to tiki bars and libations with little umbrellas. So last night, off we went to THE place to get them in San Francisco - the Tonga Room at the Fairmont Hotel. Dont you love that name? Ed saw it on Anthony Bourdain so we just had to stop for a Mai Tai! This place is amazing - theres a thatch-covered barge on the lagoon where the band plays (which used to be a swimming pool); a dance floor built from the remains of the S.S. Forester, a lumber schooner that once traveled between San Francisco and the South Sea Islands; and periodic tropical rainstorms, complete with thunder and lightening!! Heres to Mai Tais!
