Okay I cant keep my mouth shut on this. Whose idea was it to put *Las Vegas* lighting on our beautiful old bridge? I was so excited to hear that lights were being put on the bridge for Christmas, but oh so disappointed when I finally saw them. I had visions of long pine garlands (made by local tree farms) with little white lights hanging from the bridge with big red velvet bows. Possibly a couple of spotlights showing the beautiful structure. But instead, I saw lines of flashing red and green lights that do nothing for this historical icon. I think it looks totally tacky. Residents of Allegan have worked hard to preserve the history of our little town, and it surprises me that this was the best they could do. Just my opinion, but so disappointing.
