Okay...I dont usually do this, but Smyrna friends please listen. A local business, CarNutz, on Spring Rd. in Smyrna is really giving one of the girls who works for me a run around. A couple of months ago she took her car in for an oil change. They messed up BIG TIME and, in short, her engine blew up leaving her stranded on the side of the road for 3 hours. Cleve, the owner of CarNutz, told her they were sending someone. It never happened. She got her car towed and it was totaled. Cleve promised to reimburse her for her car and for any expenses that she incurred. She was extremely fair with him and did her best to keep the expenses of rental, etc. down to a minimum. Cleve only had to pay her $1200 since she had an older car and she didnt choose to try to scalp him. In return, Cleve has let the check bounce for insufficient funds. He will not return her calls. When I went up there yesterday with her...(sometimes a Mom figure needs to help), Cleve was not available and when the manager (who was trying his best to make the situation better) called him, Cleve was suddenly available and told the manager that he would contact my coworker later that afternoon. She has not heard a word. We know this is criminal at worst (we know what to do and have started the process) and rude and unacceptable at best. Needless to say, we will NEVER darken their door again and we want to warn you of what has happened.
