Okay, Im doing a public service announcement. The Empress Theater in Magna, Utah is doing the show, Kiss Me Kate and they need your help. They NEED a Full House on Monday Night. This isnt a Please the actors ego! thing or Go see a great show! thing. This is a If you want good community theater to thrive in our area please support it! thing. Community theater survives when folks attend shows. Its not cheap to put on a performance. The fees required by those that own the rites to the show are not cheap and they charge you based on attendance. So, if you plan to run a certain amount of days but dont have the anticipated audience sizes then you dont make what you need just to cover the hard cost of performing the show. Between people going out of town for Spring Break last week and LDS Womens Conference last night audience sizes have been down so its necessary to make those numbers up and fast! So, invest 10 dollars in keeping local theater alive in our area. Buy a ticket and go see a really good production of Kiss Me Kate! Show is tomorrow night at 7:30 at The Empress Theater in Magna.
