Okay, Missy has a rant (cue Reville). Other women amuse me. Okay, left JoAnn Etc. after picking up some stuff. Suburban type comes up to me and says didnt know if I should tell you or not, but if you stand in light, I can see through your skirt (Sigh) and if I stand in front of a 1000 watt strobe, you could probably see through it as well! Usually, like with the obvious Halloween costume this past Saturday where I think every woman in Publix had to tell me that my skirt was in their opinion, dangerously short before I finally defaulted to YES FINE THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME KNOW. ITS A BLEEDING HALLOWEEN COSTUME ALREADY, it is almost never men and is almost never women who present with the appearance of taking care of their appearance. Okay what I have on now is a burqua by comparison to Halloween. And its St. John stuff for Petes sake! Methinks lady at JoAnn Etc. knows she never had and never will have legs as good as mine and just has to find something to criticize about my appearance just to feel a little better about herself. Cattiness disguised as a desire to help is one of the keener negative feminine traits. I mean all Heaven and most of hell knows I am no stranger to being the victim of female cattiness or female hyper-critical behavior throughout my life (including the sadly transparent attempt to couch cattiness in alleged concern). But it is still annoying as well as amusing. Okay, rant over. I am sweating in my car writing this because it was that important to me to discuss this problem. You may all return to your lives now.
