Okay. Much that I dont really wish to discuss further on things unconfirmed, the same way that I am very skeptical when it was announced that the neutrino speed is faster than the speed of light (it got bumped - a system error, remember?), this doesnt mean that I dont trust the experimenters. On the contrary, we calibrate our theories on established, peer reviewed experiments. Theorists and experimenters go hand in hand. Theorists never propose ideas just out of the blue. We make conjectures based on established facts and pure logic. Experimenters then are guided by the theory and test it. Now, the BICEP2s data is in question. Nothing new really. It simply means the many-worlds idea is just that - an idea. String theorists are, as always, in despair again. irdc. Anyway, as you might recall, BICEP2 analyzed light from CMB looking for a type of pattern known as B mde polarization, a pattern (theoretically) caused by gravitational waves produced by cosmic inflation. Of course, there is no doubt that they detected B-mode polarization but not, as the Planck satellite shows, due to cosmic inflation but dust from our galaxy, the Milky Way . It does not follow though, that inflation doesnt exist. It simple means that they have no evidence yet.
