Okay. We saw "The Butler" today. Re the acting and the cast, must say OSCAR!!! Of course Angela and I were squirming and gritting our teeth when seeing how things have gone in this country re racial issues, then and right up to now! Really people, how can ANYONE in their right minds think the historical hatred behind the "N" word has been taken away? How can entertainers, like Jay-Z for example, think that using this is okay after what our people have been through and are still going through in this, our own country? Come on. We recommend ANYONE who has no clue about racial issues and history in America to watch this and all other civil rights movies, documentary pieces, read books, study, etc. Perhaps the education will enlighten you and show you how foolish your behavior is and how you are continuing to perpetuate stereotypes and degrade our people! Pay particular attention to lynching, burning, being spit on, being bombed and more, then think about how you are still contributing to that. My blood was boiling every time I heard that word, or when they called someone an "N" lover or monkey while spitting on them and telling them they were less than human. Is that how you feel about yourselves when you call each other that, or treat each other as they treated our ancestors????
