Okay, computer techno-nerd/geeks out there. I have a problem and need some serious input on how to solve it. Heres the issue: I need to backup (again) about 15K photos on my Macbook. I have a 1 TB hard drive, but it uses a firewire port, and my Mac doesnt have one. I also need to backup Lightroom, my photo editing software, as I will have to turn in this computer to be reformatted soon (meaning that all my photos and music need to be OFF this computer). Questions: Is there a VERY reliable cloud storage that could handle all this? Should I just buy another external HD with USB connection, and if so, which one? Should I bite the bullet (and go into serious debt) and go ahead and buy the iMac of my dreams and just transfer it all on there?? Is there another solution thats easier and less expensive that Im just not seeing or thinking about? Thanks to anyone who operates a Mac, who understands how important Lightroom is to a photographer, and who can message me with some kind of solution. I need to resolve this issue this week if at all possible.
